American Freight - Appliance, Furniture, Mattress

Don’t buy here. I purchased a stove and the whole cooktop is caved in. The bottom drawer is crooked. I expected the stove to many have a dent or scratch but this makes the stove basically unuseable. As you can see from the picture with the level on it, how absolutely caved in it is. I ordered the stove at the end of June and it was delivered a week late. I moved into my home two weeks ago. They refused to help me in anyway- horrible customer (un)service.

This is a predatory business. Please watch yourself if you choose to do business with them. I swear they must give a discount for stars! They can't have over 3 stars if it was honest! But they aren't... Nothing was explained properly. They listed me as tax exempt, they expect a 55 year old woman with reading difficulties to read the fine print of the contract on my phone! They refused to print it out for me. Everything they say is problematic. My salesperson was more concerned with the Christmas music than the issues with my contract! This American First Finance company is a complete sham. They use circular reasoning to make sure they're covered. Over and over they say it's in the contract; the one I couldn't read. I never should have done business here! This finance company repeatedly has hung up on me; even when they asked me to call them and ask for a supervisor! When I asked their finance company about the taxes I was told that taxes are for the public good and all able bodied persons should contribute. In other words, they charged more after the fact and kept the tax monies. I have reported this to the BBB, the WA Revenue Department and left this review. DON'T DO IT. Avoid this place at all costs. It's going to hurt you in the end.

Paid in full for a dishwasher, wad told to drive around the back to meet them to load it up... 40 minutes and TWO calls later to finally get someone to come out back, look at our receipt and disappear for another nearly 30 minutes. My husband was in uniform, and we had to pick up or youngest child in 20 minutes which I told them the second time we called.... paid for this at 12... sat til past 1pm...

This is where the old Sears outlet appliance store used to be. They have a good selection of furniture and offer reasonable warranty protection plans (which I haven't used yet). Prices are fair for the furniture you get. Brand new in boxes, mild assembly required. Mostly just popping & snapping the sides into place. One word of advice, if you're needing to carry this up a flight of stairs, my advice would be to open the box and carry it inside in pieces because it's boxed up in sections. Save your back from breaking!

Grendan was AMAZING. We were in and out in under 40 minutes with a new washer and dryer and insurance coverage as well as delivery and hauling away our old ones all set up. Grendan is the perfect salesperson. We never felt pressured and he was quick to the point/concise. Exactly how my wife and I operate. He was also able to help other customers while we applied for financing without lacking in quality to any of us. If I owned my own company I would steal this guy to come work for me!

Kayjana was wonderful. She greeted me promptly when I entered and quickly got me over to the models I had looked up on the website. After some time, she checked on me to make sure I was doing okay. When it was time to purchase my dishwasher she explained the protection plans in detail and took her time. She had to repeat herself a few times because I didn’t understand and she was not bothered by this at all. She was happy to help me. Overall 10/10 for customer service. Thanks Kayjana!
